CT RAFFLES – TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms,” “ToS”) govern your access to and use of CT Raffles (“we,” “our,” “us”), including our website, digital platforms, ticketing systems, and all raffle-related activities.
By purchasing a raffle ticket, entering a drawing, accessing our website, or participating in any CT Raffles promotional activity, you (“you,” “participant,” “entrant”) agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not participate in any CT Raffles raffle.

1. Eligibility

  1. Only legal residents of Connecticut are eligible to win raffle prizes, in accordance with CT state law.

  2. Entrants must be 18 years or older.

  3. Employees, contractors, fiduciaries, or individuals directly involved in administering the raffle may participate but cannot influence the outcome in any way.

2. Raffle Operations & Fiduciary Control

  1. All raffles are conducted under a legally designated Fiduciary / Qualified Organization authorized under Connecticut raffle statutes.

  2. CT Raffles operates as a marketing, ticketing, and administrative service, not the legal entity conducting the raffle drawing.

  3. The Fiduciary is responsible for:

    • Permit filings

    • Compliance with CT raffle law

    • Conducting the drawing

    • Winner verification

  4. CT Raffles assists with:

    • Ticket distribution & tracking

    • Sales support

    • Digital marketing

    • Operational logistics

3. Ticket Sales Policy

  1. All ticket sales are final. No refunds.

    • Required by Connecticut raffle law.

  2. A ticket purchase:

    • Does not guarantee winning

    • Is not tax deductible

    • Is considered a voluntary contribution

  3. Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets cannot be replaced.

  4. Tickets cannot be resold for profit.

4. Prize Description & Winner Responsibilities

  1. Prize details (including the 2024 Buick Encore GX ST-AWD or other prizes) are listed on the official raffle page.

  2. The winner is responsible for:

    • Federal, state, and municipal taxes

    • Registration fees

    • Insurance

    • Any additional delivery or transfer costs

  3. CT Raffles is not responsible for:

    • Delays in prize availability

    • Title processing delays

    • Manufacturer defects

    • Warranty issues

  4. Winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity unless prohibited by law.

5. Drawing Process

  1. All drawings are conducted by the legally registered Fiduciary, in accordance with CT law.

  2. Drawings are held publicly or livestreamed, with details posted on the website.

  3. Winners are notified using the contact information provided at purchase.

  4. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate.

6. Fraud, Misrepresentation & Ticket Abuse

We reserve the right to void entries, refuse sales, or disqualify participants if:

  • Fraud is suspected

  • Payment disputes (chargebacks) occur

  • Automated or unauthorized systems attempt to purchase tickets

  • A partner, reseller, or affiliate misrepresents the raffle

Any fraudulent activity may result in permanent ban and legal action.

7. Digital Platforms, QR Codes & Tracking

  1. CT Raffles uses third-party systems, including:

    • GoHighLevel

    • Perspective

    • Zeffy

    • QR code trackers

    • Payment processors

  2. We are not liable for:

    • System outages

    • SMS delivery failures

    • Website downtime

    • Payment processor delays

  3. By participating, you consent to:

    • Receiving SMS/email confirmations

    • Digital receipts

    • Optional promotional messaging (opt-out available)

8. Marketing & Social Media Disclaimers

    1. CT Raffles is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with:

      • Meta (Facebook, Instagram)

      • TikTok

      • YouTube

      • Buick / General Motors

      • Any dealership

    2. All photos and visual representations are for promotional purposes only.

    9. Liability Limitations

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    1. CT Raffles, its contractors, fiduciary partners, and affiliates are not liable for:

      • Losses caused by delayed drawings

      • Website or payment processing errors

      • Force majeure events

      • Failed communications

      • Prize delays outside our control

    2. Your participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

    10. Force Majeure

    We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including:

    • Weather events

    • Power outages

    • Internet disruptions

    • Strikes

    • Pandemics

    • Government actions

    • Natural disasters

    If such events occur, drawings may be rescheduled.

    11. Assignment of Rights

    CT Raffles may assign its rights and operational responsibilities to:

    • A fiduciary

    • A successor operator

    • A partner nonprofit

    • An administrative agency

    This is necessary for legal compliance and continuity.

    12. Privacy Policy

    By participating, you agree that we may collect and securely store:

    • Contact information

    • Payment confirmation data

    • Ticket tracking data

    • Communication preferences

    We do not sell personal information.

    A full Privacy Policy is maintained separately.

    13. Dispute Resolution

    By participating, you agree to resolve disputes through:

    1. Good-faith negotiation

    2. Mediation (if needed)

    You waive the right to participate in class-action claims.

    14. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
